Sam Mealy

Junior Sam Mealy has been showing good form since returning from his sojourn in the states temporarily culminating in a good victory in the Kilmore 5k in Wexford this Saturday past. The course consisted of five laps around Kilmore, racers afterwards reckoned the course would be around 20-25 seconds slow due to the two sharp climbs on each lap.

Sam Mealy had to hold off local athlete Tom Hogan and ran a time of 15:26 with Hogan only five seconds back. The host club’s Fiona Kehoe won the women’s race in 18:05.
