Richie conquers Hell, hill running round-up

The previous day the second round of the IMRA Winter League was contested at Ticknock on a new and trickier course featuring almost no easy trail. Oran Murphy was our first man home in 26th with Aidan Blighe 116th. Emma Boland and Bronagh Cheetham represented our women and finished 12th and 15th in their categories.

At the first round of the Winter League last week, IMRA saw what may be a record-turnout for a Winter League race. The congested course at Howth had six Crusaders running with Torben Dahl just edging the last top-10 spot. Paul Larkins and Jim Corbett finished further down the field to complete the men’s team scorers with Bronagh Cheetham and Clare Ganville and Niamh O’Ceallaigh made up a full lady’s team on that occasion. Three rounds remain of the Winter League.
