Leinster Novices
Mullingar hosted the Leinster Novices Cross-Country on Sunday the 24th of October. On a very tough course in the scenic Belvedere estate, our women once again acquitted themselves well. Aoife Joyce and Tressan McCambridge started conservatively and picked their way through the field throughout the race to finish sixth and twenty-second respectively in a large competitive field. It was a close race where fifteen seconds could have secured another podium finish for Aoife but both our runners improved on their times from Dublin which was not an easy feat on the undulating Mullingar course. We had two runners across the line ahead of Rathfarnham whose team went on to take the bronze medals so the result is encouraging ahead of the upcoming fixtures. Full results at Athletics Leinster.
