Great Cru turn-out at Jingle Bells 5k
Amidou Dembele lead home a sizeable contingent of Crusaders in the traditional Jingle Bells 5k taking 39th and lowered his PB from 17:45 to 17:09. Richard Healy and Kieran O’Loughlin came in next in 50th and 58th respectively in a field of just under a thousand runners. Martina White was our only ladies representative on the day. The new course was described as “very fast” but the windy conditions meant regular drafting was essential to run to full potential. James Cottle returned to racing after his latest marathon endeavour with a solid performance and finished fourth in the M55 category.
