Da Cru in action over the Christmas break

Over the Christmas break when the track was closed a number of Da Cru used the opportunity to get a few races in over the Christmas period.  On St Stephens day both Women’s and Men’s captains were in action over 5k in the Streets of Wicklow.  The women’s captain, Dee Ni Chearbhaill finished off one of the best years for the women’s team finishing 3rd Senior woman behind 2008 Olympian Roisin McGettigan.  While Gary Park finished 17th overall in the hilly 5k course.

The next day in the Djouce Handicap when the winner is determined based off how close the finish to their predicted time, Tressan McCambridge finished 3rd female, just 6 seconds off her predicted time.

Five days later Tressan was in action again, finishing 11th in a very competitive 5k in the Tom Brennan Memorial in the Phoenix park on new year’s day.  Making her the last member of Da Cru to race in 2011 and first to race in 2012 (open to correction on that one, if any more of Da Cru raced).
