Crusaders turn out in force at Dublin Novice

The club had its best turn-out yet for the Dublin Novice Cross-Country race in Phoenix Park yesterday with fifteen men and six ladies donning the white and red shirt. Our ladies were first in action and Catherine Thornton led the team home in 8th with the remaining team packing very close together in the spots 23rd to 29th.  Jason Kehoe outsprinted two Sportsworld runners to arrive first man in 12th position followed by Stephen Moore and Amidou Dembele who arrived with two seconds between them in 18th and 20th. Amidou took out four runners in the straight but was disappointed to miss a fifth.

With a new course times were slightly different especially for the men. The ladies race consisted of two laps and totalled around 2.9km with the men’s being a very long 6.7km.
