Susan Seager at Scarr 2010

On a day without overall victories to celebrate for Crusaders, our mountain running members swept most before them in the age categories while Aoife Joyce finished a strong third in the women’s race, setting a new personal best for the course, behind Karen O’Hanlon and Jenny McAuley and once again led the women’s team to victory. Susan Seager and Roisin McDonnell were the other scorers on a night when IMRA had a rare high total of five female teams competing for the win.

Roisin McDonnell also took the F50 category with Eva Fairmaner (first F40), and Diarmud O’Colmain (first M60) making up the rest of the haul. Kevin O’Riordan led home the men’s team in 28th.

The rare dry conditions were perfect and Racing795’s Tom Hogan confirmed his pole position in the Leinster League with another confident win.
