The BHAA kicked off their Winter League last Saturday in glorious sunshine and dry conditions not the type of cross country conditions we are used to. There was a good number of Crusaders racing. The men’s race was over 4 miles whilst the ladies was a 2 mile race. Ronan Kearns was first Crusader home in the men’s race finishing just outside the top 3 in 4th position. There was also a top 10 finish for Ivan Kinahan who finished in 6th place. Ivan was followed by Rob Cross in 17th, Jason Kehoe in 30th, Dave Sheehan 99th and making a long overdue return to racing was Michael McGovern finishing 117th.

In the ladies race Natalya Coyle had a great race finishing 7th overall. Dee Ni Chearbhaill was next in finishing in 23rd and was closely followed by Deirdre Hogan in 24th. Susan Walsh also making a return to racing was next in finishing in 34th position. The next race is the Beach Race on Dollymount strand on the 13th of November.
