Aoife Joyce, Jason Kehoe, Richie Healy and Rachel Walters at Snowdon 2008

An Irish development team has once again been selected to go to the Snowdon International Mountain race on 23rd of July by IMRA high performance officer Pat Ryan. Crusaders mountain running coach Rene Borg has been selected as the team manager and will travel with the team. The team was selected based on performances in the European Trial race a few weeks back and Aoife Joyce has been selected for the ladies team after her 4th place finish. Lucy Darcy, Sportsworld, and Emma Donlon who finished 5th and 6th in the trial make up the team.

This year will see an incredibly strong field with nine countries expected to field teams, and ten thousand worth of prize money on offer for the top competitors from the SkyRunner WorldSeries which will make its way by Snowdon this year.

Aoife has previously represented Ireland at the event in 2007 and 2008.  Everyone at Crusaders wish Aoife Joyce and the Irish team the very best of luck at the event.
