The Crusaders Athletics Club was founded in 1942 but the Juvenile Club have only been in operation since the autumn of 2008. Since then over 100 athletes have joined up and competed in various events from Cross Country, road races to track and field. We cater for all events including sprints, hurdles, throws and jumps. Our aim being to let all juvenile athletes learn all athletic events (as far as possible), and to the best of their abilities, so that they have the opportunity to choose the best events for them to compete in.

Juvenile athletes must be 7 or over now or have their 7th birthday sometime in the year of joining. For your membership of Crusaders AC, you will get the benefit of guidance from top class, experienced coaches, with nationally recognised qualifications. You will get a chance to take part in Dublin championships with progression to National Championships as organised by Athletics Ireland. You will also be entitle to the use of top-class facilities and equipment. Coaching given in all the athletics events including cross-country, middle distance, sprints, hurdles, throws (discus, javelin, shot putt), long jump and high jump and eventually, for the older ones, pole vault, hammer throwing and triple jump. If your parent/guardian would like to assist us in the training sessions they would be very welcome.

If you would like to find out more, just come and train with us at one of our training sessions on any Saturday from 10.00 – 11.30 (see Training). Try us out for a few weeks to see if you like and enjoy the training, and us. Then if you want to become a member you just complete a club membership form and pay the annual registration fee of €40. Alternatively, just e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you have any further queries. You will need to purchase a club singlet after that if you wish to compete in any events.
