I absolutely want to continue my studies at university because I really like to learn. I would love to go anywhere that brings out my full potential.
Two courses that I really enjoy throughout college are math and history. I’m in eighth grade, but I’m in algebra, working on the subjects myself. Math and history are not very similar, but they both help me grow in different directions.
My favorite teacher is Mr. Sparks, who teaches social studies in middle school. He makes classes both fun and educational, and he always focuses on the students with genuine attention. He really sees me as a person with a lot of potential and supports my growth.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, reading, making clay figures and going for evening walks with our three dogs. I also spend a lot of my time thinking and researching ways to help the Greeley community.
FAVORITE FOOD OR RESTAURANT
Although I only eat it occasionally, my favorite restaurant is In-N-Out Burgers.
Two of my favorite movies are “Spy Kids: All The Time In The World” and “Charlotte’s Web”.
I am very passionate about environmental activism. In elementary school, I was disturbed by the use of polystyrene trays by the whole district. And I wanted to do something about it. So I made a presentation and organized a demonstration at the school; I wrote emails to the Board of Education; and I published a letter to the editor in the Greeley Tribune addressing this issue. I am very happy to hear that the district has switched to paper plates. I want to continue using my voice and my passion to change the world.
BEST THINGS ABOUT MY SCHOOL
In the D6 Online Academy, I was able to work at my own pace, which allowed me to progress to advanced mathematics courses. The teachers are also very caring, attentive and explain things clearly.
