Eoin Finlay Memorial Handicap

'There was a fantastic turnout on Thursday 6th April
for the annual Eoin Finlay Memorial Handicap race. In
a change from the traditional Embassies route, this
year's event was held on the track, with 17 club
members battling it out over 3000m. Congratulations to
our winner, Tania Banotti, and to Oran Murphy who ran
the fastest time of the night, completing the distance
in 10:18.

<span class="fullpost">

Thanks to Susan Walsh of Donore who managed the
complicated start and counted laps with Formula 1
precision. Emma Sokell timed the race and calculated
impressively accurate handicaps – over half the
runners crossed the finish line in one 15 second
block!
