European Cup Results

The Irish mens team which competed at the European Cup Track & Field Championships in Leiria in Portugal at the weekend finished 7th.

There were three Crusaders competing on the team. Thomas Chamney ran 1:50.35 to finish 5th. Antoinne Burke ran a Personal Best of 51.23 to finish 4th. Ruairi O'Briain jumped 4m60 to finish 7th.

Some other impressive results came from James Nolan who ran a personal best of 8:11.18 in the 3000m to finish 2nd just behind Rui Silva and David Gillick who ran 45.96 to win the 400m.

Antoinne Burke also took part in the 4 by 400m relay. The team finished 4th. The 4 by 100m relay team finshed an impressive 2nd.
